PROJECT RED ROVER
ROBOTIC ENGINEERED DOG (RED) ROVER
Dogs have aided humans for thousands of years. Man's best friend has provided protection, companionship and hunting assistance since the days of the earliest human settlements. Our companionship will continue on our long and lonely voyage to explore Mars.
The RED Rover Company
A Companion
The first Mars missions by humans will have our new Martians face long and lonely missions. The Red Rover will provide much needed companionship to our astronauts back on the base as well as on expeditions on the red planet. Red Rover will follow their human on missions providing them with company as well as vital information and utility for the human to complete their investigation. The Red Rover’s mission is too keep their human safe. In case of an emergency the Rover can call for help.
Science Utility
Just like early humans bred dogs to perform different tasks from herding to tracking and from guarding to retrieving, we have designed and engineered the Red Rover to serve as an extension of the human by collecting data and performing tasks. Red Rover will collect vital information like temperature, atmospheric pressure, radiation, etc. to make sure the human is safe on their mission. While on the mission the Rover will be collecting data that will be logged to be later analyzed at its dock house or at a main hub. The Rover will be able to carry tools for the human to use as well as have storage to help collect samples from the expedition.
